Adam left his home in Minnesota at age nineteen to make a new start in Montana. Lack of funds and the desire to travel led him to hopping freight trains all around the Northwestern United States.

A few bumps and bruises and a couple of near death experiences sent him back to Montana where he earned a B.A in English Literature with a teaching certification.

Adam has spent over a year exploring South East Asia and Australia working as a Bartender, a Painter, and doing some general labor for the Hells Angels. He also spent the better part of a year living and working in England and traveling eastern and western Europe.

After years of traveling, Tanner decided that a regular job did not suit him. So in the summer of 2007 he went to his globetrotting friend Mike Dickenson with an idea to film a documentary about traveling. He believes that if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. That being said, Adam has officially given up work.

He is currently working on other documentary projects near his home in Bozeman, Montana.
